Originally housed at the University of Pennsylvania under the leadership of Harold F. Schiffman, the Consortium for Language Policy and Planning is now hosted at UMBC and directed by Francis M. Hult.
Founded in 2001, CLPP is an international network for researchers and practitioners of language policy and planning. The Consortium hosts lectures, symposia, workshops, institutes, and the Language Policy listserv.
